Service Description

Shirobhyanga is the practice of massaging the head, including the neck, scalp, face and ears, used to deliver healing and health in Ayurveda. It is a practice of opening energy channels, moving blockages to pranic flow, invigorating the senses, clearing the mind and brain, assisting the 'digestion' of thoughts and emotions, and initiating body-wide healing. On top of all of this, it feels divine! The depth of relaxation and internal peace available from this practice is profound. In this workshop we will learn and explore: -Basic ayurvedic and western anatomy of the head, neck and face; -Marma points (energy convergence centers) of the head and face; -Specific head massage techniques; -What to avoid; -Self massage of the head; After this workshop you will be able to offer the loving gift of shirobhyanga to friends and family, and to yourself.
